You will find that the most effective blogging techniques are ones that you may stumble upon while doing your research across the internet. It is a good idea to follow other bloggers to get an idea of what your style might be or want to strive for.
Here are 5 effective blogging techniques that are “must haves”:
There are many others we can add, but these are the key elements that are going to help your blog be as effective as you want it to be.
Having a compelling title -
You can acheive this with your keyphrase (if you are a marketer) or your topic. What is your topic about? Use something catchy, ask a question, or make a statement. What are people typing into the search engines to find you?
Skimmable -
Always remember in the back of your mind when you are blogging or giving information, that the majority of your visitors do not always read, they skim! They are looking for specific information. Make it easy on the eyes and make it so they can find what they are searching for.
Knowing Your Crowd -
This coincides with keyword research. Without going into a whole post on this today, I can tell you that this is what internet marketers use to get their messages across, bloggers do this as well. It is what one will type into a search engine to find what they are looking for. You want to be in the top of the search engines for your word or phrase in order to get found easier.
Knowing your crowd is what they are “hungry” for so to speak. Knowing what they want, how they want it, and when they want it. Answer all the questions that they might be thinking of.
Facts -
Give them the facts or at least what you have found in your research of your topic. This will help your “followers” become followers of your blog or your brand.
Call To Action -
A call to action is what you end with in your post, sales letter, email, etc. This will give your reader/visitors somewhere to go next or telling them what they have to do. Giving them direction – this could be them buying a product, going to another source, etc.
I hope that this has helped you get started. If you have any questions or suggestions for what you would like to see in future posts on this topic, please contact me!
